Hi All
Desert, Pudding, Afters, Dolce, Sweet….its here. All new Desert section of the 2012 Summer Menu is now available and includes eye poping and mouth watering delights such as Pineapple Parfait, brown sugar and star anise braised pineapple with cinnamon cake, macadamia nuts, vanilla bean ice cream and Persina candy floss.
As always we still strive to introduce new and exciting dishes you wont find at other cafes in Christchurch. Customer feedback so far has been fantastic and it looks the the plates are getting licked clean.

Hi All
After weeks of discussions, tastings and sampling the new Summer 2011 Menu has been released today.
There are some exciting new dishes and as always we have introduced items that you won’t find elsewhere in Christchurch.
A big thank you to the team in the kitchen and FOH staff for their inputs and ideas.
We think this is our best menu yet so we hope to see you all soon.

Hi All,
Just got back from a visit to Melbourne, checking out the CBD cafes for new ideas.
Best Cafe / Restaurant we found was Long Grain near Chinatown, awesome food and an interesting mix of diners.
Got to say tho… breakfasts we tried were disappointing. Maybe we lucked out to on the places we chose.
It was great to get back home to Christchurch for a Beach Big Breakfast.
The new range of wines we have introduced have been well received and rightly so.
Big thanks to the local vineyards and winemakers.
We have a new Barista!. Raj has joined us and is pumping out great coffees. Raj had is own cafe on Manchester Street pre Feb 22 and we believe he placed 2nd at the Barista Competition in 2010.
We are extremely fortunate and proud to have a Barista of this calibre at the Beach.
So make the most of the school holiday sunshine, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Hi All
We are currently working on the new Winter menu, Cory has produced a beautiful tuna dish – Ahi Tuna with Glazed Prawns on Coriander Rice with Roast Pepper Hummus and Seaweed Salad.
One lady customer just about licked her plate clean so we think this one could be a winner.
With the upheaval during the February Earthquake we have had some staff changes in the kitchen and have secured the services of a very exciting Chef with international experience and some new ideas which are likely to be included in the new Winter Menu.
Thank you to all our regular customers who have supported us since we reopened on the 28th of February and a warm welcome to the new faces who have tried the Beach for the first time, we look forward to seeing you again.
Tanya and the Team.

Hi All
We hope that all of our customer, past and present are OK and getting through this major event in the history of Christchurch.
Some of our staff have lost their homes but thankfully no one was injured. We also we would like to send our thoughts to fellow cafe owners, suppliers and their families.
We have worked hard over the last few days cleaning up the cafe and taking stock of what we need to do so we can reopen as soon as possible.
We will keep you updated over the next few days.
Tanya and Staff.
